Message	was put in for two reasons. 1) to stiffen the car, which it did substantially 2) to have a clean mount for the seatbelt harnesses, I didn't want to run them all the way to the back of the car. As for hurting the resale value, I have decided that I will never sell this car after all the money I have put into it. Since I could care less about resale value, I have decided that ONE DAY it will get a new paint job. (after I have done everything I can to the motor)
